Türetim Ekonomisi Derneği ve Kadir Has Üniversitesi Enerji ve Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Merkezi (CESD) tarafından düzenlenen Next Economies Summit 2025, 12-14 Eylül 2025 tarihlerinde İstanbul Kadir Has Üniversitesi’nde gerçekleşecek. Sürdürülebilir ve adil ekonomilere geçişi hızlandırmayı hedefleyen, küresel ölçekte liderleri, politika yapıcıları,aktivist ve yatırımcıları bir araya getirecek zirvenin ana konuşmacılarından biri de çevre politikaları konusunun öncü isimlerinden Ashish Kothari olacak.
Ashish Kothari: Çevre Politikalarında Öncü ve Küresel Alternatiflerin Savunucusu
Ashish Kothari, Hindu College ve Delhi School of Economics’te sosyoloji alanında eğitim aldı. Hindistan’ın önde gelen çevre örgütlerinden Kalpavriksh’un kurucularından biri olan Kothari, çevre ve kalkınma politikalarının şekillendirilmesinde etkin rol üstlendi. Ulusal Yaban Hayatı Eylem Planı ve Biyolojik Çeşitlilik Yasası gibi önemli mevzuatların hazırlanmasına katkıda bulundu, ayrıca Indian Institute of Public Administration’da öğretim üyeliği yaptı…
2012 yılında Aseem Shrivastava ile birlikte yazdığı Churning the Earth: The Making of Global India kitabıyla küresel kalkınma modellerinin sosyal ve çevresel etkilerini derinlemesine ele aldı. 2017’de editörlüğünü üstlendiği Alternative Futures: India Unshackled adlı eserle sürdürülebilir ve adil alternatif gelecek vizyonlarını tartışmaya açtı. 2019’da ise küresel alternatif hareketleri bir araya getiren Global Tapestry of Alternatives girişimini başlattı.

Türetim Ekonomisi Derneği Aralık 2015’te, ekolojik ve adil iş modellerinin toplumsal yararlarıyla ilgili bilinç yaratmak; araştırmalar yürütmek ve toplumu türetim ekonomisinin çevre ve sürdürülebilir bir toplum inşası üzerindeki olumlu etkileri hakkında bilgilendirmek için kurulmuştur. Araştırma, proje, sosyal ve ekonomik analizler yapar, türeticiler ile üreticileri bir araya getirir ve topluluklar kurar. Böylece insanın doğayla ve kendisiyle uyum içerisinde “Türetim Ekonomisi”ni oluşturmayı amaçlar.

Global Gathering in Istanbul: Ashish Kothari at Next Economies
Next Economies Summit 2025, organized by the Prosumer Economy Society and the Energy and Sustainable Development Center (CESD) of Kadir Has University, will take place from September 12 to 14, 2025, at Kadir Has University in Istanbul. This summit, aimed at accelerating the transition to sustainable and fair economies, will bring together global leaders, policymakers, and investors. One of the keynote speakers will be Ashish Kothari, a prominent figure in civil society.
Ashish Kothari: Pioneer in Environmental Policies and Advocate for Global Alternatives
Ashish Kothari studied Sociology at Hindu College and Delhi School of Economics. He is one of the founders of Kalpavriksh, a leading environmental NGO in India, and has played an active role in shaping environmental and development policies. He contributed to the drafting of key legislations such as the National Wildlife Action Plan and the Biological Diversity Act, and has served as a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Public Administration.
In 2012, together with Aseem Shrivastava, he authored Churning the Earth: The Making of Global India, which deeply analyzes the social and environmental impacts of global development models. In 2017, he edited Alternative Futures: India Unshackled, discussing sustainable and just alternative futures. In 2019, he initiated the Global Tapestry of Alternatives, a global movement bringing together alternative initiatives.
